Meet The Instructor/Mentor

I started riding motorcycles at age four (4) on a “Honda Z 50” in Alberta Canada. There were many years of learning how to ride safely and then adapting my skills to race competitively.

In 1985,  I entered the 250cc junior class for my first motocross race at Medicine Hat Alberta and I finished on the podium. 

I progressed the second year of racing into the intermediate class and raced the 250cc and 500cc classes. 

After developing the race skills from the junior and intermediate classes, it was my time to shine in the Professional classes. After obtaining the knowledge, mental toughness, endurance, and bike preparation fine tuning skills I captured my first Professional Title in 1993 and thereafter thirteen (13) conservative Professional titles. 

In 1997, I was most successful by capturing the Canadian National 250cc Professional Championship.

Family is extremely important to me and I slowed down for a few years to support my daughter’s sports dreams.  When I returned to the sport of motocross, I raced the Vet Master and Plus 40 class where I continued to be successful in obtaining the Championships in both classes.  I continue being an ambassador of the sport currently by racing in the competitive Vet Master and Plus 40 classes and sharing my knowledge at Doug Peters 2FAS4YA Motocross Inc.
